EST. 2026
Beagle Welfare Czechia is an initiative for the wellbeing of the Beagle breed. Kennels that join the programme monitor their dogs' welfare according to the Five Freedoms — not just conformation and show results.
We watch our dogs' health, comfort and natural behaviour as closely as their temperament and structure. This page sums up how we put welfare into practice.
The Five Freedoms
Freedom from hunger and thirst
Constant access to water and suitable food.
Comfort
A suitable environment and a safe home.
Health
Prevention, treatment and care for condition.
Behaviour
Space for natural behaviour and movement.
Freedom from fear
Calm, security and gentle handling.
How our dogs live welfare

Health testing. Our stud dogs go through recommended health tests before they are used for breeding. Health →
-
Space and movement. Our dogs live in a family setting with plenty of room to move, not in kennels. Our Pack →
-
Natural behaviour. Trips, play and pack contact are documented in the gallery — welfare isn't just a statement. Gallery →
-
Prevention and care. Regular veterinary check-ups and care follow a dog through its whole life, not just during its breeding years.
