Timișoara Mission Accomplished: Falco Wins Prestigious International Titles in Romania!

Timișoara mission accomplished: Falco claims prestigious international titles in Romania!

We kicked off November at our Dukes of the South kennel with a major trip abroad. On Sunday, November 1, 2026, we headed to Timișoara, Romania, for the Timisoara Special Trophy 2026 international dog show. It was a single-day event, but all the more intense with a clear goal in mind. We set out to claim the final missing piece of our show puzzle – the CACIB title, for which we had to wait the mandatory "year and a day" to finalize the prestigious C.I.B. and C.I.E. titles. And the result? It exceeded our wildest expectations!

Results

Our representative entered the ring in the champion class and took home the highest possible awards:

• Falco (champion class): Excellent 1, CAC, CACIB, BOB (Best of Breed)

Atmosphere and the Day’s Highlights

The journey to Timișoara was of extraordinary significance for our kennel. Falco has had a rather unusual journey on the show circuit. He didn't start his show career until he was three years old, which is certainly not the standard start. Even though he has been actively shown for less than two years, he has managed to collect an incredible 10 CACIB titles across six different countries during that time!

However, the regulations for earning the International Beauty Champion (C.I.B.) and International Show Champion (C.I.E.) titles are uncompromising – at least 366 days must pass between the first and last qualifying certificates. The Timisoara Special Trophy international show was the most suitable choice on our calendar to finally fulfill this requirement.

You could cut the tension with a knife before entering the ring, but the moment Falco stepped over the tape, all the nervousness melted away. Falco is truly in his element in the show ring. It was a joy to watch his confident movement, typical Beagle expression, and his sheer enthusiasm to present himself in the best possible light. You can tell he genuinely enjoys the show atmosphere and relishes every second of attention. The judge recognized his qualities in the highest possible manner – Falco not only secured the needed CACIB, but also went on to become the overall Best of Breed (BOB). The mission was accomplished one hundred and ten percent, and we headed home filled with immense happiness and pride.

Conclusion and Acknowledgements

This success at the Timisoara Special Trophy 2026 marks a major milestone for our Dukes of the South kennel. It proves that starting a show career later in life is no obstacle when a dog possesses the drive to work and the heart of a champion.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Nenad Matejevic for his support and for making this day truly unforgettable. Thank you for the wonderful memories, and we look forward to the next challenges that lie ahead with our Beagles!
