Successful Trip to IDS Floracanis Olomouc
On Saturday, September 12, 2026, our kennel Dukes of the South headed to the international dog show IDS Floracanis International in Olomouc. This time, we entered two of our Beagles into the show ring – our promising youngster Jeff and the more experienced Falco. We brought home not only fantastic critiques and titles, but also a wealth of wonderful memories from a very successful day.
Results of Our Beagles
Both boys showed themselves in the best possible light amidst strong competition, and we are extremely proud of them:
- Jeff (junior class): Excellent 1, CAJC, CACIB-J, BOJ
- Falco (working class): Excellent 2, res. CAC
Jeff delivered a thoroughly confident performance in the junior class, earning the full set of the highest possible awards and ultimately taking the prestigious BOJ (Best of Junior) title. Falco held his head high in the working class, leaving the ring with a wonderful Excellent 2 rating and the res. CAC title.
Atmosphere and the Flow of the Day
The Olomouc show welcomed us with an utterly charming setting that is an inseparable part of this traditional event. Beautiful weather with mild temperatures prevailed throughout the day, exactly what one imagines as the beginning of Indian summer. These were ideal conditions for the dogs – no sweltering heat, just a pleasant, sunny morning that put everyone in high spirits both in and around the rings. The lush green backdrop of the Olomouc grounds further enhanced the positive impression, and the entire Saturday flew by in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Conclusion and Acknowledgements
We thoroughly enjoyed the show day in Olomouc, and the results of both our dogs are yet another wonderful reward for our kennel's dedicated work. Our big and sincere thanks go to Mr. Petr Řehánek for his great support and organization around our team. We are already looking forward to our next show adventures together!
