Young Blood in the Ring: Falco and Junior Handling
Sunday, July 26, 2026, belonged to the International Dog Show (CACIB) in Częstochowa, Poland. For our Beagle breeding kennel Dukes of the South, this day was filled with emotions, great experiences, and above all, a beautiful presentation of our dog Falco. This trip across the border was carried out in the spirit of youth and enthusiasm that accompanied our entire stay in and around the ring.
Atmosphere and Success in Junior Handling
Today was special because Falco was presented in the ring not by an experienced adult handler, but by a promising young handler, Barborka. Barborka was immensely looking forward to this opportunity and poured all her enthusiasm into her role. Although she had only a very brief time to get acquainted with Falco before entering the ring, she handled the entire presentation brilliantly. She effortlessly managed even the more challenging elements, such as flawless handling of Falco on the judge's table. Their mutual connection and teamwork immediately created a fantastic atmosphere in the ring.
This experience reminded us once again how immensely important it is to guide young people toward handling and working with dogs. Junior handling brings children and young handlers not only reinforced discipline, patience, and responsibility, but above all, a deep relationship with animals and a sense for their needs. Our breeding kennel actively supports these activities and young talents, because the future of our cynological world lies in them. Seeing the joy in the eyes of the young handler after such a successful presentation is the best reward.
Conclusion and Acknowledgments
From the International Dog Show in Częstochowa, we bring home not only great titles and the V1 CAC award for Falco, but above all, a heartwarming feeling from a successful intergenerational collaboration. Our big thanks go to the judge, Vladimír Piskay (SK), for his professional, fair, and kind judging. We are already looking forward to our next show challenges together!
