Hot summer, great atmosphere and huge success at INTERCANIS Brno 2026

On Saturday, 11 July 2026, the Brno Exhibition Centre (BVV) became the center of the canine world. The INTERCANIS International Dog Show, boasting the prestigious CACIB title, attracted hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of visitors. Among them, of course, our breeding kennel Dukes of the South could not be missing. We headed to the Moravian metropolis with our two promising boys to compete in the strong competition of the beagle breed. We return home with a feeling of immense pride, great results and new championships in our pocket!

Results of our dogs

Our boys showed themselves in the best light in Brno and took home fantastic evaluations from the judge:

• Falco (třída pracovní / working class): V1, CAC, res. CACIB
• Jeff (třída mladých / junior class): V1, CAJC, CACIB-J

With this day, after only two months of competing in the junior class, Jeff fulfilled the conditions for awarding the titles of Czech Junior Champion and at the same time the prestigious international title C.I.B.-J (International Junior Champion)!

Atmosphere and course of the hot summer day

The July date promised typical summer weather, which was also confirmed – it was a truly hot, tropical summer outside. It was therefore an even greater relief for us and our four-legged partners that the judging itself took place in the hall. There was a very pleasant climate inside, so the dogs were not tired from the heat and could focus on their performance in the ring.

And the competition this time was truly huge. A total of 37 Beagles gathered at the show, which promised exciting battles for every title. Our Falco entered a strongly contested working class, where he competed against four other opponents. In a competition of five dogs in total, he showed flawless movement and posture, winning with the evaluation Excellent 1, CAC, and subsequently adding res. CACIB.

Our youngster Jeff is making us happier and happier. You can see how much he is constantly improving in the ring, gaining confidence and literally enjoying the presentation. His triumph in Brno was the icing on the cake. Not only did he win the Excellent 1, CAJC and CACIB-J grades, but he also completed two major championships at the age of 10 months. We are already incredibly looking forward to his next shows, because his potential is huge.

Conclusion and thanks

INTERCANIS Brno 2026 will be written in golden letters in the chronicle of our Dukes of the South kennel. It was a day full of excitement, joy and meeting friends around the beagle breed.
