A Successful Day for Dukes of the South at the Club Show in Kovalovice

On Saturday, June 6, 2026, the prestigious Club Show of the Beagle Club CZ took place in Kovalovice. Our kennel Dukes of the South was strongly represented, and our dogs certainly stood out in competition with 84 entered Beagles. Under the strict but fair judging of the renowned British judge Nigel S. Wright, Jeff, Falco, and Jeff's grandfather and veteran Theo from our friendly kennel Beagles of Jack's Connection took home excellent ratings and confirmed the quality of our breeding.

The Kovalovice show had a great atmosphere, which was further enhanced by the pleasant summer weather. Judge Nigel S. Wright from Great Britain approached the judging very carefully, emphasizing the typical Beagle temperament, anatomy, and movement mechanics. In strong competition with dozens of dogs from both home and abroad, every "excellent" rating was the result of honest work and the great condition of the presented individuals.

Young Jeff competed in the Junior Class, where his balanced movement and focused presentation impressed the judge so much that he received the Excellent 1 (V1) rating, the CAJC title, and subsequently the Best of Junior (BOJ) title. In the Working Class, Falco was presented and received an Excellent (V) rating in strong competition. Finally, our experienced Cosmostar Barefoot Bandit aka Theo, who competed in the Veteran Class, made us very happy. Theo showed that even at an older age he still has a great spark, for which he received the Excellent 1 rating and the prestigious Best of Veteran (BOV) title.

We are very pleased that our dogs consistently display the qualities that distinguish high-quality representatives of this breed. Presentation at the club show is always important feedback for our future breeding work.

We would like to thank the organizers for the smooth running of the entire event and the judge for his detailed evaluation of our dogs.
